A pleasant hike turns to disaster when a woman finds herself the captive of two hunters after they kill her sister and don’t want any witnesses left alive. 

Sisters Keri and Sierra set off on a three day hiking trip for some quality time. The trail is remote and very scenic. The first night, the girls reminisce inside their tent while it rains. Keri is about to reveal a secret when they hear an animal outside. Using a flashlight, Keri discovers it’s a raccoon. To be safe from bears, she ties their food high in a tree. As they return to the tent, Keri hopes to find a meaningful moment, but Sierra falls asleep before she can.

While walking the next day, Keri tries to find the nerve she needs to reveal her secret but things keep interfering. Sierra goes to take a selfie with her sister and spots a buck in her viewfinder behind them. Just as the girls marvel at the animal, a gunshot goes off. Keri watches as the buck races into the woods for cover but when she turns to Sierra, she finds her on the ground with a gunshot wound.

Two brothers, Billy and Jason, walk over to the girls, unaware of what has happened until they see Sierra and a panicked Keri kneeling by her. With no cell service in the area, the men offer to drive the women to the hospital, as that’s the fastest solution. Sierra is loaded into the truck bed and Jason drives while Billy stays with the sisters.

Keri starts to realize something is very wrong when Jason doesn’t make the proper turn to the hospital. When she starts screaming for help, Billy knocks her out by hitting her with his gun. She awakens in a basement room inside their cabin with a dying Sierra next to her. Keri does what she can for her but Sierra dies.

The men come to move her so they can bury the body. Keri fights to stop them and fails. Left all alone now, Keri doesn’t know what to do. After breaking the glass window on the other side of bars, Keri hides a piece of glass and uses it against the men so she can escape. An elderly woman she asks for help is shot by Billy, and Keri is recaptured.

Charlie, a female friend and love interest of Keri’s, sets off on the trail to find her. Meanwhile, Keri manages to drug Billy after seducing him and escapes the cabin once again. She runs into Keri for a happy reunion. At dawn, they make the long trek back toward their cars.

Billy and Jason chase after them and capture both women. Charlie is tortured for her identity but refuses to speak. While the women discuss what happens if only one escapes, Jason helps Billy to realize he is just like their horrible dad. Billy sees the light and insists the only way to start fresh is to kill their prisoners.

Keri escapes through the window while Charlie remains behind to fight. In the woods, Keri runs into Jason, who wants her to get away, only Billy shoots him before he can give Keri his gun. She grabs it and shoots Billy as he shoots her. Keri drags herself to the road, where she finds help and wakes in the hospital with her parents by her side.
