A madman follows his ex on board a luxury cruise with master plans of killing both, no matter the consequences to the innocent passengers and crew, or the ship that harbors them.

Kaely Harris breaks off her engagement to business tycoon William Harvey due to his controlling nature. Depression follows. Her best friend Allison knows what will make Kaely feel better – a cruise.

Things don’t quite go the way Allison expects. Kaely is withdrawn and doesn’t even want to talk to other men. When Allison meets a couple of dashing entrepreneurs, she connects with Brad, and tries to set up Kaely with Rick. While Rick is interested in her, Kaely refuses to give him the time of day initially.

Someone begins toying with Kaely. They send her flowers, then destroy her good dress. On top of that, the culprit plants a bag of cocaine in her purse and nearly gets her thrown into the brig when some of the officers discover it. Captain Merrill has a special fondness for Kaely and believes her that she was framed. While he can’t completely ignore the drugs found in her possession, he allows her to roam free as long as she doesn’t leave the ship without getting his permission.

After a night of drinking, Kaely begins to loosen toward Rick. Just as their relationship blossoms, Kaely’s stalker assaults Rick and throws him overboard. Kaely arrives just in time to see it happen and races to the back of the ship to throw a preserver to Rick while screaming for help. Rick is rescued and believes the occurrence could be someone he has worked with wanting him dead. That alleviates any suspicion it may have been related to the strange things that have happened to Kaely.

Allison makes arrangements with the captain to allow Kaely off the ship when they dock on Lehy Island and give her a map to a local lagoon so she can spend some time alone with Rick. While the couple enjoys their seclusion, Allison is abducted back on the ship by William’s henchman, Leonard. He ties her up on the lower level where few people go. When Brad attempts to rescue her, Leonard shoots him. 

On the island, romance blossoms between Kaely and Rick. After a romantic encounter, William appears and shoots Rick. He topples back into the lagoon. Kaely puts up a fight but William is able to dominate her well enough. He drags Kaely back to the dock and tells her if she asks anyone for help, he will kill them instead of her. They board the ship and Kaely is forced to change into a nice outfit merely to excite William. They have never been intimate but William decides now is the time.

Allison escapes with Brad’s help. When William drags Kiely into the room, he finds Leonard recovering from unconsciousness and sends him off to monitor the ship. Using a detonator, William sets off explosions on the lower level while Leonard overrides the ship’s computer to keep it flooding. Rick tracks down Kaely, and they work together to climb their way out of the sinking ship. They barely make it out in time and contribute to William’s fall to his death. Back home, Rick proposes to Kaely a short time after Brad has asked Allison to marry him.
