Synopsis

Bobby Russell is a beautiful archeologist who goes on digs with her father. On a quest to find the Hikyrus, an ancient golden box that gives the owner unlimited power, the duo enters a pyramid in Egypt with a group of hired hands. After eluding boobytraps, Bobbie holds the Hikyrus in her hands. A longtime adversary of the Russells, Harold Marlowe has followed them and steals the box after shooting William. Bobbie barely escapes with her life before she would be entombed permanently.

David Kramer is with the CIA. He has studied the Hikyrus most of his professional life and heads a small team of agents on their journey to Egypt to find William Russell, who was secretly working with the agency. Instead, David encounters Bobbie. The two clash initially but are forced to work together when Marlowe’s men come after her.

Bobbie seeks the help of an old friend, Qasim. His wife is pregnant so Bobbie hates to involve them, but the couple insists on helping. Qasim locates a map of the compound where Marlowe is believed to be with the Hikyrus. That night, Bobbie, David, and Qasim sneak into the compound and climb up to the building’s roof. There, Bobbie cuts a hole in a skylight where the golden treasure is located in a case directly below.

David and Qasim lower Bobbie on a rope so she can grab the box. Before she can escape with it, Marlowe and his men arrive. Knowing there isn’t time for her to flee, Bobbie tosses the box to David and tells them to run. Marlowe tries to hang Bobbie in order to flush out the others. They rescue her and race off with the box.

Back at Qasim’s house, Bobbie and David share a passionate encounter. In the morning, Bobbie is gone with the box to protect the others. David figures out where she has gone and goes after her. Marlowe threatens Qasim and his wife if they don’t tell them where Bobbie has gone. Even though they reluctantly divulge the information, both are killed.

Bobbie has taken the box to Africa. With the plan to hide the indestructible trinket in lava where it will never be found, she stops at a familiar village on her way to rest. David finds her there and insists on going with her to destroy the box. Bobbie is somewhat open to his company until she learns about Qasim’s death. Then she is ready to go it alone to keep David from dying, too. Marlowe has found them and attacks the village. Bobbie and David are forced to flee with the box.

After the pair are separated in the jungle, Bobbie makes it to a lava pit inside a cave. Just as she’s about to drop the box into lava, Marlowe arrives with David as his prisoner. In order ave their lives, Bobbie calls upon the box’s powers to destroy her enemy, only great power comes with consequences - bleeding in the brain. Bobbie awakens in a hospital after her near death experience. David is by her side. He has requested a transfer to the embassy in Egypt so he can stay with his favorite adventurer.
