Synopsis

Rachael thought she found a good guy in Tim. Once she became pregnant, Tim began wandering, his sight set on an underaged girl. When she asks him to stop during a passionate encounter, he kills her and goes home to Rachael for comfort. Fearing for her life and that of her unborn child, she waits until it’s safe for her to go to the police. Tim is arrested and sentenced to decades in prison for his crime.

Years later, Rachael raises her young daughter, Sarah, alone. Rachael’s sister Lisa is a big part of their lives. One day, Rachael bumps into Tim’s brother Jake. He tells her he has bought a yacht that he is using to host ghost cruises and invites Rachael and Sarah along. Lisa invites herself because she has a crush on Jake.

The cruise starts out nice for the trio. Good food and beautiful scenery. On deck the first night, Jake brings champagne for the women and himself, and juice for Sarah to celebrate the cruise. When Rachael wakes in the morning, something doesn’t feel right. Lisa and Sarah also have stomach aches and feel drained.

Even more odd, they are unable to find anyone on board the yacht, and things sometimes move around on their own. They attribute that to ghosts. When Sarah disappears for a short time, she tells Rachael she saw her daddy. She can even prove it by having Tim’s dog tags in her possession. Rachael now believes that Tim has escaped prison and killed everyone on the yacht to get to them.

Two mysterious men in black, Max and Vince, gangster types, are after Tim. He tells Rachael he owes them money and they have killed everyone to get to him. She believes him at first until Max abducts her and admits Vince and he are servants from Hell, trying to capture the runaway Tim so he goes where he belongs. That means Tim is actually dead. Even worse, Rachael learns that Sarah, Lisa, and she also died the first night on board the yacht and now are ghosts, providing entertainment to the passengers they can’t see.

Vince tells Rachael they have little time to bring Tim with them and if they can’t, they will have to take Sarah since Lisa has moved on. Desperate to save her daughter, Rachael goes after Tim herself and helps the mobsters capture Tim.

He escapes, but her determination wins out. Using his special watch, Max takes Rachael back in time to show her what really happened. In order to inherit Tim’s and Sarah’s share of his parents’ money, Jake caused his parents to have a fatal accident, convinced Tim to kill himself in prison so he could become a spirit and unite with his daughter forever, and poisoned Rachael’s group. He now receives the entire inheritance himself.

The bright light that has been following Rachael comes for Sarah and her. Unafraid, they step into the light and disappear. Meanwhile, Jake sees his satisfied passengers off, proud of the devious job he has done.
