When a human-like creature wreaks havoc in a small town by eating the organs of his victims, a detective must race against the clock in order to save his teen daughter and her friends from becoming the next victims.

George is a half-creature born to an eccentric couple, Wanda and Ed. Ed works at a power plant so they believe that affected their only child. While Wanda tries to be an endearing mom to the needy boy, Ed wants nothing to do with him and becomes abusive. One day when George is playing in Ed’s clothes inside the closet, Ed catches him and uses his belt as punishment, as he always has. Normally, George accepts the beating and cries to his mom, but not today. After many years of this abuse, he snaps and kills his father brutally, like a wild animal. Wanda fails to grieve the loss of her horrible husband. Instead, she cherishes time alone with her beloved son.

Julie is a teen with an unhappy home life. Her dad, Chet, is a detective and married to his job instead of his wife. Crystal has grown bitter over her husband’s lack of attention to their family. Arguments ensue almost daily. Julie would rather be anyplace else and spends a lot of time with her best friend, Missy. Wanting to give her best friend an awesome 18th birthday party, Missy looks for a place they can destroy without any repercussions. She investigates George’s house, which is said to have been abandoned and is close to being demolished. Julie feels the place is too creepy, but Missy insists they will clean it up somewhat and it will be fine.

When Wanda has a heart attack, George is forced to fend for himself. Being smarter than even his mom realized, George targets people who have been mean to his parents - Ed’s boss who had fired him before his demise, a woman Wanda worked for who dismissed her when she needed the money, and a rogue teen who teased Wanda. George’s attacks are brutal. He even eats some of the victim’s organs. Chet is on the case but has no idea where to look. By all evidence, the attacks look like they were caused by an animal.

Just days before her 18th birthday, Julie gets a belly button ring that she shows off to her friends but hides from her parents. When they spot what she has done, Julie becomes grounded, which only angers her more. Needing to sneak off to her party, she slips out while Chet is at work and Crystal is in the shower. At George’s house, the girls and their boyfriends attempt to clean up. Tim finds some of Wanda’s jewelry in her bedroom. Protecting his mom’s possessions, George kills him.

While Julie and her boyfriend Mark run an errand, George assaults Missy and drags her to the basement. When Julie returns, George seriously wounds Mark, and holds Julie prisoner in the lower level.

Chet questions a Satanic cult and learns that two prior members were expelled for eating the organs of animals - Ed and Wanda. The info leads Chet to George’s house, where he is forced to battle the sub-human in order to save his daughter. With her help, he succeeds. As Julie and Mark are taken to the hospital, Chet and Crystal agree to be civil toward each other again because nothing is more important than family.
