In the states during War World II, a young woman struggles to find herself when her husband is drafted, and she is forced to get a job in order to support her mom and siblings.
Synopsis
During War World II, Brenda marries Scott, the man she thinks she loves. After they marry, things go south quickly. Scott becomes abusive and neglectful as worries about getting drafted rise. That day comes, and Brenda's dad is drafted along with him.
Left to fend for herself, Brenda moves in with her mom to help with bills and gets a job as a riveter. She discovers Scott is cheating overseas and realizes divorce is imminent. Meeting a nice man at work makes her even more certain this is what she wants. But Scott has other plans to keep his wife from falling into the arms of another man.
