Synopsis
7-year-old Olivia struggles to cope after watching her little brother Cole drown after falling through the ice. Emma, her mom, takes Cole's death very hard and acts indifferent toward her daughter. Steve understands how his wife feels, but Olivia needs them to be there for her.
A mysterious stranger with a resemblance to Santa enters their lives. While Emma is skeptical about him staying with them for a while, Nick is very good for Olivia. She finally laughs again. But a disagreement with Emma causes her to throw Nick out, upsetting Olivia to the point of her wanting to die the same way Cole had. Emma must team up with Nick to save her little girl before it's too late.
